Heads up: Some or all of the identifications affected by
this split may have been replaced with identifications of Astragalus. This
happens when we can't automatically assign an identification to one of the
output taxa.
Review identifications of Astragalus fruticosus 492757
3.) Astragalus syriacus and Astragalus syrcus are two orthographical variants of one and the same species. The distribution maps of POWO and Astragalus of World are different which makes it difficult to atlas the species correctly:
The distribution area is larger than that stated by Astragalus of World but smaller than that stated by POWO. The distribution area almost certainly extends into Russia, but I don't have any precise distribution data and have limited my mapping to the only reliable distribution data from Astragalus of World SE Asia (Mongolia). Unfortunately, the other parts of SE Asia that may be part of the distribution area are not specified, but most of the observations on iNaturalist come from Mongolia anyway.
4.) Astragalus fruticosus Steud. is a synonym of Corethrodendron fruticosum var. fruticosum
I have not included this species in the split. This plant obviously does not belong to the genus Astragalus. The distribution area partially overlaps with Astragalus syriacus L. and I dont want that the observations drop down to Faboideae.
However, I entered the name as a synonym for Corethrodendron fruticosum var. fruticosum.
The few observations on iNaturalist as "Astragalus fruticosus" probably all belong to Astragalus syriacus L. (syn. Astragalus syrcus L., syn. Astragalus suffruticosus DC.) due to its distribution area.
Unintended disagreements occur when a parent (B) is
thinned by swapping a child (E) to another part of the
taxonomic tree, resulting in existing IDs of the parent being interpreted
as disagreements with existing IDs of the swapped child.
Identification
ID 2 of taxon E will be an unintended disagreement with ID 1 of taxon B after the taxon swap
If thinning a parent results in more than 10 unintended disagreements, you
should split the parent after swapping the child to replace existing IDs
of the parent (B) with IDs that don't disagree.
