Swan tours offered along rice fields near Marysville.

Before winter takes hold in the Arctic, more than 100,000 tundra swans migrate along the Pacific Flyway from their remote and solitary breeding grounds to spend winter in California. Many of those swans make their winter home in the rice fields around Marysville.

Now through January, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife offers the public an opportunity to see these spectacular birds in their habit.
