Old Scottish dude with a lifelong love of nature. A birder for several decades (see https://ebird.org/profile/NTA1NzAz/world) I've also picked up a few other loves along the way. If birds are my 'Planet Earth', butterflies, ladybirds, and hoverflies are my Mercury, Mars, and Venus, and so on. One of the most marvellous things about iNaturalist is the opportunity for us nature 'cosmonauts' to travel to, explore, and learn about often completely alien realms. Luckily there are usually 'local guides' available to prevent us getting lost!
