Birding runs in the family, so I have been doing that ever since I was old enough to look through the correct end of the binoculars. However, insects have always fascinated me, as well as edible wild plants. Inaturalist and its community have enabled me to learn a tremendous amount and it feels like no matter how many organisms I identify, there are thousands more to go. The variety and complexity of creation is amazing. Soli deo gloria.
