Hello, I am a general observer of nature while hiking or working outdoors. I am a native of California, lived in Oregon for 5 years, and spent 15 years in south Florida before retuning to California.
I have a BS in Agricultural Sciences, a MS in Entomology and a PhD in entomology.

I conduct research on invasive plants and their control, specifically biological control. I am currently working on several invasive plants in the western US. See my google scholar page for examples of current work.
