Senior curator at a public garden, my profession has been the study of horticultural plants best suited to steppe climates. I have co-authored "Wildflowers of the Rocky Mountain Region" (A Timber Press Field Guide) and have traveled extensively in Western America all my life studying wildflowers. I have also photographed and explored in the Alps, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Mongolia, China and the southern hemisphere (Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana and New Zealand).
