Hello. I'm an all-rounded science nerd that just likes anything relating to science, particularly biology, chemistry and astronomy. I like birdwatching and I can identify the common bird species of Hong Kong quite quickly. I like challenges and trying to solve them, and identification of species is one of these challenges- I can spend days in front of my Mac just trying to find out just what this species of fungus is, for example.
I learned about iNat from a citywide nature competition where different schools are allocated an area, and they have 4 days to try observe as much species as possible. I'm quite enjoying it, and I do hope that I become more and more adept at species identification and field surveys as I continue using iNat.
