Fungi

Salmon-Eggs or Trichia decipiens is a fungi which is often found in humid woods on the trunks of rotting conifers. It belongs to the family of Trichiaceae, order of Trichiales, class of Myxomycetes, and the phylum of Mycetoza which is more commonly known as slime mold. During the warmer months of the year this fungi lives as cells with a single nuclei and when the humidity level is high enough they display a flagellate form which allows them to swim. However during more hostile seasons they “get married” and form an amaebozygote which causes the respective “parents” nuclei to divide and the cellular body of the amaebozygote begins to grow which results in an organism with potentionally hundreds of
