Reservoir Walk

This afternoon was the perfect day to take a nice walk! It was great fall weather and the colors were amazing. I tried to find the four types of plants we talked about in class: vascular seedless, non-vascular, gymnosperm, and angiosperms. I found a pine (gymnosperm), a small white flower (angiosperm), two different types of what I thought were vascular plants, and I noticed a small patch of moss (non-vascular plant.)

Morning Walk

I woke up early this morning and walked around the neighborhoods behind upper campus. It was a perfect 60°, the birds were chirping and the ground was pretty wet. There was plenty of leaves and different varieties of trees around. I didn’t notice any obvious fungi like mushrooms, but I did see many kinds of lichens which are a form of fungi.

Walk Around Neighborhood

I was home this afternoon, so I took my dog for a walk in our swampy, wooded area behind our house. It was a nice day out, and many of the leaves have started to change colors! I saw different squirrels and birds as well they looks as if they were the same species, but I noticed slight differences in their phenotypes, such as different patterns or tail size.
