After class, I walked on the Chestnut Hill Driveway. I started at the Pine Tree reserve I first saw a pinecone (possibly the Common Douglas-Fir), which is an example of a gymnosperm, as the seeds of the pinecone are exposed. Next I saw the Fried Chicken mushroom, which is a pretty funny name. It ties back to last week's unit of fungi. I also saw some ferns at the reserve, which is an example of of a polypodiopsida. Soon I walked along the Chestnut Hill Driveway and caught sight of some moss growing on a rock. I noticed that it had no shape, as moss doesn't do well with gravity (land challenge). Then I saw the Chestnut Hill Reservoir Community Garden. I know it's not natural, but I was attracted to the pretty flowers. There, I saw a bunch of fruit and flower plants, which are angiosperms. I saw the Genus Lobularia along the walk (outside of the garden), which is an angiosperm.
