Tree Bracket
Tree Bracket Fungus is often referred to as shelf fungus because of the way their body is attached to the infected tree. It attacks living trees and is inedible due to poison in their body. It lives as long as the infected lives; so it can live longer than one may expect. Since mushrooms are only fruiting bodies of the fungus, by the time it appears there is usually significant damage inside the tree. It can make the trunk of the body so weak that it may make the tree fall and hurt surrounding environments. It is essential to take care of those fungi especially in any garden where people pass by.
