Glenwood Forest Preserve
The strangle hold of bittersweet can be so devastating -
This must be the highly invasive variety.
I have begun to detest mulberries as much as buckthorn and garlic mustard. These darn trees pop up everywhere and in the most unwanted locations in the home landscape, but, of course, here it is at the forest preserve too.
This juniper doesn’t have many blue colored berries at this time, but I did spot one of the galls or remnants of a fungus formation.
The curved shape of this one plant was an anomaly I haven’t noticed before. Great Mullein usually seem to
stay perfectly vertical.
