Underside of angel trumpet leaf.
Found on bottom of wild blackberry leaf with black light at night.
Update: I broke the branch when I took the first picture so I put the caterpillar in a container to raise it and have been feeding it blackberry leaves. It has turned yellow and has a tiny plume which started out yellow and is turning darker at the back end. I took more pictures August 13 to show the plume, legs and face. What doesn’t show but is there faintly through the hair are four dark spots along the sides behind the head in a row. It has almost doubled in size.
August 18, 2020, back to white again!
August 27, 2020: it shed its old fur coat for a shorter white one with more black tufts and red feet. Photos (5) begin with the face shot and include the shot through the plastic container of the underside.
August 29, 2020 it pupated.
