Paraphyses cylindrical to slightly enlarge at the apex, septate. Top segment multiguttulate.
On a bare ground in a mixed forest. I tested 6 cups that were A. viridis.
I found one more cup on Jun 25, 2024 at the same spot. It was the same species.
On bare ground, in a mixed, wet forest close to a marsh tiny whitish cup fungi. Growing scattered in two spots, about a dozen fruiting bodies in each spot.
Apothecia sessile, pulvinate, with smooth margin, 0.5-1mm in diameter. They look like grains of sand.
Asci operculate, 8-spored, H+, biseriate.
Ascospores ellipsoid, hyaline, with big round warts and multiguttulate.
Paraphyses filiform, hooked, sometimes with small guttules.
Margin textura globulosa.
Observed again on Jun 25, 2024 in two spots about 3m and 10m away.
On the ground in a mixed forest.
A single cup was found on the ground in a mixed forest, next to a hiking path.
Apothecia sessile, yellow-green, about 5mm in diameter.
Asci 8-spored.
Ascospores fusiform with ridges, purple at maturity.
Reoccuring species on the same spot. About a dozen of fruiting bodies.
Apothecia stipitate, 5-6mm in diameter.
Asci 8-spored, operculate, H+.
Ascospores ellipsoid, mostly uniguttulate when matured, reticulate.
Paraphyses cylindrical, bright orange.
Margin with hyaline hairs. Some hairs thick-walled.
On decaying Betula papyrifera. Similar looking fruits were widespread in the forest on other hardwoods. Violet tones noticable when pseudostem was broken.
Heavily sporulating days after collected.
Ascospores elliptical, with distinctly round warts prevalent. Spores often with rounded apiculi at the ends.
