This elm tree was observed in a forest with semi shade. The leaves are doubly toothed and lopsided at the base. The leaves join at clusters before the reach the stem. The tree produces a nutlike fruit that is called a samara that is a hairy wing like structure that gets carried by the wind for reproduction.
