Description

Found by Humphrey. A unique morph of what could be considered A. muscaria perhaps, growing with non-native conifers.. I’ll tag Humphrey in for more field notes. The volva not showing multiple rings of tissue at first. Growing under non-native conifers.

Description

This was at the end of carrying the sandbag 1/4 mile up a hill and back down the other side. Then a short walk to a road crossing and I saw them right there. First cubensis in person and they were in Hawaii. 🌴 ☀️

2 of them growing side by side, I grabbed a cup/phone for loop 2 and they were somehow still there - not stepped on by the hundreds of runners passing by.
