Plumed Whistling-Duck

This was in a part of a zoo that was open to the sky, so we assume that the duck(s) flew in for the water and free food.

Some kind of frog bronzey brown colour with black markings

Taken by a friend near the Devonport Lighthouse. She asked me to post and see what species.

Juvenile, dead on roadside. The carcass was observed several times by myself and husband as we frequently travel this road ( Back Teatree Road near Richmond).

The call is slightly different to the average Tasmanian call, and nothing like the mainland calls.

Regurgitated seed pods from Currawongs - mostly consisting of creeping strawberry pine seeds I think
