This is my best guess on ID
Date of observation is approximate.
I'm not sure about this one, but they look to me like some kind of leafhopper.
Field Notes - beauty of a wolf spider. I could see her eyes in the torchlight from across the yard.
Legs span about 40mm.
Actively hunting the gnats attracted to my torch.
Completely unconcerned about being photo'd allowing nice closeups but low light decreased the overall quality.
Field Notes - Nastey invasive monsters, very pretty mind you. Are these the fabled north pacific seastar? Should i be removing them from bay?
Length,3mm.
They are new intruders, killing butterfly larvae, stealing rice and cat food, biting humans and cats.
Orange prostrate lichen. Growing on basalt lava in crevice at about 1080 m altitude. Possibly Xanthoria elegans.
Day 82, one individual.
