Observed hunting behaviour. The turtle was wading in very shallow water (reaching up to height of carapace). The neck was repeatedly extended forward in a spring-like motion to catch prey. Upon inspection of the life forms in the water, potential prey may have been small fish (Danio rerio and Pethia sp.) or water striders.
