Field Notes - Found a number of these capsules washed up on the beach at Airey’s Inlet. Not sure if they are algae or egg sacks. They had clear jelly like fluid inside.
Location correct but date approx only. I will specify date asap. (*3rd pic shows the low shoreline shrub thickets immediately flanking the tiny protected beach inside Apollo Bay marina.The 2 pics of this plant were taken with my earlier model android phone camera, just behind the thickets, where one can safely park cars in order to use the beach or access the walkway to the very solid rock groyne which protects the little harbour, marina and beach from the massive Southern Ocean swells. )

Additional comments? - Very freindly. We got to feed them almonds.
