Atlantic Saltmarsh Snake (Nerodia clarkii ssp. taeniata)Observer

Updated: Apparently, this is a straight up Nerodia clarkii taeniata. Location is obscured, but the habitat was salt marsh in north Volusia county -- near the Halifax River/Intracoastal Waterway. This snake was observed as Hurricane Irma was clearing the area. Lots of flooding and turbulent water, so a number of snakes had moved to bushes near the edge of a local road (that runs adjacent to salt marsh). I've documented a number of fasciata (x) clarkii in this area, as well, but it's nice to apparently have seen a straight up N. c. taeniata.
