Butterfly was briefly captured to facilitate identification and then released unharmed.

This male Greenish Blue was photographed in Lassen Park at Lost Creek on 6/17/08. There were 50 to 60 of them in a quarter mile stretch of the creek.

This Becker's White was photographed in the Owen's Valley east of Big Pine, Eastern California.
