Growing in single and groups of 3-5 on single leaves and small twigs

Pileus, conical, 3- 4mm in height, largest 3-4 mm in diameter. Scarlet red to pink at the edges, as it ages, can form darker red at the apex, fading to slightly more pink on the edge. Velvety appearance, radiating lines/flutes from apex to edge,

Lamellae are regular, not crowded, pale/pink to white with red edging. The attachment is free of the stipe, acute at the join to the underside of the pileus.

Stipe - central attachment, 40 - 45 mm in height, 1-2 mm thick, slightly wider at the base. Pink-red and, as it dries, turns brown, smooth, and cylindrical but as dries, flattens and twists into a loose spiral, joins wood with a small mycelial pad.
