About a foot and a half in height (tail feathers to head) I had never seen one in the yard before! Scared the squirrel who was in the tree!

There are four other birds feeding on bird seeds scattered on the very same windowsill. There is also one other bird on top of the bird feeder getting ready to feed as well. This observation occurred right after sunrise.
