Observed during monthly amphibian monitoring. After several months of no rainfall, there had been 1.95 inches of rain the day before monitoring, and a total of 4.23 inches of rain within the previous five days before monitoring. Ponds and sloughs were dry, but Berry Creek was flowing with muddy runoff water. Recordings include Green Tree Frogs calling.

There are both cricket frogs and Rio Grande Leopard Frogs. This one shows the variety of sounds of the Rio Grande Leopard Frogs.

Caught in the act of take off this hawk was fine until startled by a 18-wheeler horn blast.
American Beaver, at least two individuals were in view during the active hours of 11pm 12/24/17 thru 5am 12/25/17.
Prior to this time and afterwards, Nutria were very present in the space that is the front doorstep of the beaver.

Found this little crab with a small net while on a field trip and released it back after close study.
Amphibian watch. Not calling.
On front porch under lights. Very large (~11 cm wingspan).
