Might actually be more than one species
I am pretty sure about this but please anyone, chime in.
can anybody help me with idying this pine?

while there are many planted red pines in the park.. it's neat to find these few older wild red pines. Goldie in 1819 describes HLP as a sand barren dominated by orange milkweed, flowering spurge and scraggly red pines. while not likely 205 years old it is neat to think that's these were part of that original stand of pine growing above the Prairie.
