Climbing Dayflower (Commelina diffusa)

Description

I observed this monocot today. It was found in a grassy field and had a small blue flower blooming off of it. It had a rooty stem and a parallel veining structure. The weather was 62 degrees and very sunny out. The stem and leaves were moist to the touch.
