I'm glad/lucky I was able to capture it in flight to show the long mouthparts as it is not obvious when it landed and was was resting on the leaf of this plant.

Surprisingly large Bomby, the flowerhead it is on is around 30mm-40mm.
It flew from scabby to scabby methodically plunging its proboscis into each flower on the head, slowly rotating clockwise (or was it anti-clockwise?) until it has done each one, barely ever resting its wings.
