This one has me baffled and I'm not even exactly sure whether it was seen at this particular site though it was in the folder withthe previous 3 observations that I'd prepared nearly 2 years ago. My best guess is a female hybrid (if there is such a thing?) of Red-crested Pochard and Tufted Duck.
Looking forward to the answer on this one but also hope it isn't something embarrassingly obvious :)
