Really small youngster--looked a bit unstable on feet too..hope it makes it. It popped out near where I was standing and then just froze for a few seconds, then made it's way to new cover. I saw an adult later on

Description

This male was scratching at a spot in the road and licking the dirt. I observed and filmed him for 45 min. Mineral lick? When I drove by later he was gone but a significant depression had been scratched. The road has a whitish patch there. I wonder what mineral was in such high demand.
