Unbroken midlateral stripe, jaw only extends to middle of eye, and shallow depression between soft and spiny dorsal fins indicates spotted bass.
The absence of both a tongue patch and uniform rows of spots on the belly suggests largemouth.

New PB smallmouth bass, and my second Master Angler bass this year! This big girl was about 22 inches long and somewhere around 6-6.5 pounds.
I've hooked multiple like her this year, but for some reason or another, they seem to always shake the hook. I wasn't taking chances with this one so I went in the water with her to net her 😂
