Calling loudly the whole time we were there. It would occasionally fly to the ground, probably hunting something. The last 4 pictures were taken at 7:03 PM. It had something in its left foot but dropped it.

Carnival Candy Slime Mold (Arcyria denudata)Observer

If you look to the left side of the picture, on the tree there is a hole with ants. These ants appear to be carrying the slime mold, as well as their eggs. What do you think: Are they "farming" the slime mold or just raiding?
