Spotted along the American River Bike trail. Very lucky to not got bit as I stepped very close to it and did not notice it. Unsure if it attempted to rattle due to small size and other noises in the bushes, footsteps or talking. I encouraged into the bushes with a long stick.

On Bird's-foot Trefoil
There was a lot of this plant about but very very few pollinators. I saw a couple of small bumble bees and a few Western Honey Bees, but only this other bee and I did not notice any hover flies. Not sure what is happening with the pollinators or maybe this plant does not attract them.
