I found this butterfly in a state of torpor on a branch of a Physalis peruviana/Cape Gooseberry bush I had just pruned. Surprisingly (to me anyway), it stayed put on the branch as I moved it around to shoot different angles and find decent light. Even after I was done and nudged it to encourage it fly off and find another hiding place it just stayed put. so I placed the branch section it was on back in the bush.
Found in a house. Hence the dust.
On an artichoke flower.

Fingernail in last photo is about 9mm wide.
This owl was getting mobbed by five or ten birds who were obviously not happy with its presence in the neighborhood. I found out about its presence because of the ruckus the other birds were making.
The kids waiting for their meal.
A window strike. Came around after a while and eventually flew away.
