Description
Have been searching for an example to ascertain this species during the past year and have finally found specimens with the required tiny hairy tufts at the junctions of the veins on the undersides of the leaflets (second and third photos demonstrate these in macro photos). The vast majority of walnuts here are old nonnative cultivars and hybrids (which lack this feature).

Description
This is the most colorful Western Fence Lizard I have ever seen. Scrolling through online photos on Californiaherps.com and other sites I see there are examples of this coloration out there, but they’re few and far between.
