I think the "long spine on the metatrochanter" of the right leg is visible in the second and third pics. Other features I believe are visible on this male in some of the six images are: front triangle pollinose, pro and mesotibiae black apically, apical three tarsomeres black. I cannot quite make out "male probasitarsomere with long apicolateral seta". For discussion. @johnklymko @scottking @stubirdnb Do you agree with some/all of what I see? Once again, I am happy to be corrected and I am learning lots about the anatomy in these exercises.

iNat strongly suggests this Ptilostomis. I am personally not even sure it is Phryganeidae, but I do see some resemblance. Happy to be corrected and will back off ID ASAP if this is not what is. This caddisfly was amazing to watch, walking on water. Long live surface tension and hairy legs!

Found on my siding on the back side of my house. Saw another one a few hours later on my front deck but left it alone.
The pointy furrow in the epigyne seems to be a way to differentiate this from other female S canadensis. Can't find any good pictures of either to compare, mostly just drawings.

Wasn't sure if I'd see another one ever again after finding one back in April. Seeing how small they are, I can understand how they are often overlooked. (~2mm)
