Description
While eating our lunch we enjoyed watching this barred owl and his mate preening each other. To our amazement, he flew down into the road and basked in the sun for about 15 minutes, often lifting his head to the sun with the nictitating membranes rolled, making the eyes appear blue. He would also vibrate his throat as if to be enjoying the sun bath, no other part of his body moved except for the head and neck for the fifteen minutes.

Description
Saw this turkey swimming in Lake Ontario among 0.5m waves. It was moving slowly, but kept it's head above water and looked like it reached the shore safely.

Location is accurate. Observed calling from the top of the tree on this block before taking wing, flying towards the east and out of sight. I wouldn't have expected to see one this far into town.
