Three odd geese that we and others have noted to be either abnormal CANG, CACG, or potentially hybrids. They have an odd, “intermediate” size, tiny bill, but lake the typical bill slope of CACG. The conclusion was without genetics, these are not identifiable further.

Thinking maybe they are the same guy, were in the same flower pot. I'm not sure which ID is accurate.
Julie Ambler went out to remove some Smooth Goldenrod, Solidago gigantea, to make room for another plant. At about 10 am there were 3 of these brown moths overlapping each other. By the time it took her to get her camera, one of the moths had flown away. There was this one left when I took this photo. Julie said it had been quivering. When checked again at 12:15, the moth had flown away.
The width of the closely spaced veins at the tip of the wing of the maple samara is 1.15 cm. Based on this and measurements of the photo, the moth was 18 cm (7.1 in.) wide.
Two of 12 (6 females, 6 males) found around the neighborhood. Each female spider appeared to have a male nearby in the same web.
Never heard of this genus but it's worth a try
