Put game camera on roadkilled caribou carcass.
On rocks within 15 feet of us. Very curious about our mountain rescue training activities until the camera flash went off.
My wife and I saw a rather large armadillo on the side of US 287. It was dead. I may not have the location right. It was between mile markers 146-147. We were surprised to see one north of Lamar, CO, which is the farthest north we had ever seen them.

I observed a wolverine on Goose Creek Road near the 9,000' elevation sign. It was in travel mode, loping along the dirt road at about 8:30am. I was returning to Wagon Wheel Ranch on foot (out for a run) when I saw it coming in my direction. I was able to observe it for a nice long time (about 3 minutes) as it looked at me, then decided to head off the road and cross a meadow toward the Douglas fir forest. The wolverine seemed unperturbed and unrushed as it walked along and stopped to look at me several times in the meadow. It had the characteristic 'weasel' gait and 'saddle' coloration on its fur. It appeared to be in excellent health and a full-sized adult. Wolverines are extremely rare in Colorado; this was a very exciting sighting!
On slopes above Sperry Chalet below Lincoln pass. I have video as well.
