A wasp (see https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/229929532) was carrying this grasshopper up an approximately 5 feet tall Solidago canadensis hargeri covered in Cynanchum laeve.
Every once in a while what I think was the wasp would furiously (and loudly) flap its wings and sort of fly/drag the grasshopper a couple of inches up/along the plant -- at least I think it was the wasp making the noise, perhaps it was the grasshopper trying to get away, I couldn't really see very well. I'm not certain whether the grasshopper was dead or not, though it did appear to be.
