Found swimming in Snoqualmie river at Olallie state park; south fork picnic area. Prominent dorsal stripe. Appears to be male, looking at throat. ~4" long

Found in a forest stream at 8:00hrs
At least a dozen of these newts were seen in a small, shaded pond in the woods surrounding the Jingo-Ji Temple. Several were attempting to mate while we were there.
