Absolutely miniscule ants, extracted from a berlese collected with permission from the sanctuary. Smaller than or roughly about typical Strumigenys size.

Did not know this was a species in the US till now, separated from Ponera exotica from the lack of an obvious 4 segment antennal club.

This is the only Blue winged goose in the netherlands she is estimated to be between 16 and 24 years old and altho her parents were once escapees, She came from a nest they had in the wild her brothers and sisters have left but she stayed here and has been adopted by a pair of greylag goose for some years now, a interesting story for a interesting bird.
