Common Toadflax (Linaria vulgaris)Observer

Found growing next to the sidewalk amongst some grass and exposed to the full sun. Comparison with other iNaturalist observations and through the use of the Seek application, I determined that this was Linaria vulgaris. The orange segment on the inflorescence and its linear leaves distinguish it from L. dalmatica. This ID is supported by the L. vulgaris specimen in the University of Calgary Herbarium (https://digitalcollections.ucalgary.ca/CS.aspx?VP3=DamView&VBID=2R3BXZ72AK64L&PN=1&WS=SearchResults#/DamView&VBID=2R3BXZ72AC1KZ&PN=1&WS=SearchResults).
