Chimney swifts would nest every year in my parents huge chimney. Periodically one would get in the house. I would have to catch it, and carry it out and release it.

-cap tan/gray with veil fragments
-gills attached, color matches cap, some short gills
-stem strong, turned reddish where held. Approx 16-17cm, stem more tan than gray/brown
