Just for interest, added cycad seeds being sorted . Nobody seems to know who brought them in or where they came from, but many of the seeds have similar holes, similarly empty. None of our cycads have cones now, so thinking this beastie came in with the seeds.

Tenomerga again
clearly a viable local population of this oddity here, as I found this one in my house, alive and well. Wonder if it is associated with east coast plant species introduced and well established in this area, like Ekebergia and Harpephyllum?

Dwarf Solifugid
strange little beastie scurrying around, very rapidly, in the sand between the grass clumps on a sparsely vegetated railway reserve; fast moving so had to be trapped in a cut off 2 lt coke bottle for photographing. Is it deformed? [answer NO, this is what Moleromans look like] if so, it certainly didn't hamper its mobility, and what about those armaments - the 2nd and 3rd legs have rows of pink vicious-looking spines ventrally and laterally while the palps end in a whole cluster of spines, like mace heads. I think in the 2nd photo there is a thin first leg just visible below the righthand palp
