THREE river otter seen frolicking near pond in Mud Creek watershed, Ontario County, NY.
This pond has an abandoned muskrat den, rather extensive. It is fed by a small 3-4' wide trib of Mud Creek, which is just a few feet away. An ephemeral wetland exists 25 yards away.
Assume it's female with two juveniles. Same three were here last November.
