Human made environments, structures and artifacts inhabitated by natural creatures.

Observations should have some context in it, so its primarily not just to add a record of organism in an area that is more or less made or adapted by human. Preferred observations are more like how they're making some structure their habitat or nesting place and such, or to give an idea how some artifact affects their living in such environments. Thus good observation could include for example some view of green roof, show animal or bird in artificial nesting places, or any structure taken into use by any creature.

Such environment is by its own features dangerous to these creatures too. There's however projects already for dead or injured animals and for example birds-window collisions (observations about inhabiting environments constructed of such elements are favored), so observations of dead amimals would better suit them – still observations presenting such features in an meaningful or especially representative way may be added to this project too.

So this is not just about records of "urban wildlife" but how they inhabit the urban environment. Also human origin artifacts such as thrash in an natural environment fits here.

This is not about having fancy pictures about creatures itself, but abouts presenting context to how they're living. There doesn't have to be any specific event occurring either - dangers or possibilities involved can be explained if needed.

There's also project Animals in Urbania that seems to be more general in this regard. Rewilding in Built Environments accepts observations of not planned rewilding, Green Roof Biodiversity is self-explanatory.

Ultimate objective of this project could be to share and promote ideas how to make built environment more nature friendly in a meaningful way. less ↑
