I started using iNaturalist to join in on my partner's fun with the app. After taking a Natural History of Alaska course at the university, I spent an entire semester cataloging all the plants and animals I could find at the Mendenhall Wetlands here in Juneau. Now, I’m constantly tracking the flora and fauna around the mountains, forests, and oceans of my hometown. As a Pokémon fan, I get the same thrill from collecting species as I do from catching pocket monsters, ha! I’m currently enrolled in another university course, Alaska: A Sense of Place and Beyond, and I'm back out on the hunt!
