Usangu Launch
2022 is a big year for Usangu, in june 2022 the Usangu Expedition Camp by Asilia Africa will open its doors, and with it a more consistent presence in Usangu will become a fact.
This will contribute to a reduction of poaching in the area, further achieved by additional efforts by TANAPA and their anti-poaching units.
In the long run we hope to see an increase in wildlife densities, but to monitor this change we need to get reliable benchmarks of sightings in the area of all species small and large.
This project aims to showcase all the sightings in the Usangu research area, and will also serve as a platform where The Expedition Camp guests can contribute sightings and learn about previous sightings in the area.
