Our statistics

In just one day, our team collected 161 observations including 44 different species confirmed. We had 18 people recording observations and 23 naturalists identifying the species we observed. The most common species observed were Cinnamon ferns followed by Virginia Creeper, American Sweetgum and Common Mugwort. The top observer was Gabriella who recorded 38 observations. Brianna, Melanie, Katherine, Victoria, Aniyla, Amaya each recorded between 10-20 observations.
It was a great day despite the soggy forecast. I thank you for your smiles, enthusiasm and sense of adventure. See you in June.

We can compute the average number of observations per species in this BioBlitz:

>>> 161 / 44
3.659090909090909

So an average of 3-4 observations were taken per species.
